I'm a transplant from Michigan and had an amazing dentist whom I saw for years. He was so great that when I moved three cities away, I still made the drive to see him rather than search for another dentist.

What made me request that Amanda always be my hygienist?
Before I had Invisalign, my teeth were extremely crowded and I could only use fine waxed dental floss. Since hygienists typically double-wrap floss during cleanings, I always had to explain that doubled floss was uncomfortable and would shred between my teeth. Unfortunately, many hygienists would still try, which often caused discomfort and bleeding.
Amanda was different. She immediately recognized that doubled floss wasn't appropriate for my teeth and adjusted accordingly, without me having to explain a thing.
On top of that, I have a sensitivity to certain mint flavors and Amanda always makes sure to use a milder, "kid-friendly" flavor during my cleanings.
That's what sets Amanda apart. To me, those kinds of details are the mark of a true professional — someone who pays attention, thinks critically and tailors care to the individual patient.
I can't say enough good things about Amanda. After all these years, she may know my teeth better than I do!
